Bulletin Service of Organization I v2Projo clip Congregation to Be Created v2Our Service of Organization was at Saint Andrew’s School Chapel on Pentecost Sunday, May 17, 1964.

. . . “a beautiful spring day at St. Andrews Chapel, although New England-wise, the day blew up cold, with clouds scudding before the sun” (from John Graybill’s sermon manuscript)

Those in attendance of the 102 charter members of BPC rose as they were presented by Pastor Graybill. Together they declared our “Covenant of Fellowship”:

“We desire to be constituted and organized as a church, which is to be known as Barrington Presbyterian Church. We do covenant and agree to work together as disciples of Jesus Christ in a church relation according to the provisions of the Constitution of the United Presbyterian Church in the United States of America. We promise to maintain this church by our attendance at its services, our support of its work, our gifts and our prayers, and to seek in its fellowship to glorify the name and further the cause of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
