The wisdom of the day was that one who was crucified was one who had lost all hope… so to proclaim that the good news of the Christian faith was that, through such a death, humanity would be saved was not just folly, it was scandalous!

Life on the Downslope

So down the mountain we must come, like the disciples, like Elisha, like all who have come before us and who will come after us, we must come down from the pinnacle and re-engage in our lives on the downslope where our great vision and clarity meet the reality of the world.
